Last Friday 18th January, Catalan Wikipedia (la Viquipèdia), has reached its 100.000 articles and so becomes the 17th language in worldwide Wikipedia top, just before Turkish and after Romanian.
Catalan is a Romance language with 9-10 milion speakers around the world, approximately 88th in worldwide ranking, and only fully official in the tiny sovereign country of Andorra.

In order to improve the searching experience of the increasing number of Catalan Wikipedia users, oncoming Catalan Firefox 3 will include automatic search suggestions thanks to this Wikipedia's API recent added feature. Firstly pointed by Polish localizators, this will also be added to Finish version, and I guess that in the other ones which include a Wikipedia searchplugin as well.
